Our
Campuses

Our TK-12 program operates across three CUSD campuses, offering continuous Mandarin immersion from early childhood to high school graduation.

Preschool / TK Program
Maximum 24 students per class in 2-day, 3-day, or 5-day options. Sessions run 8:00 am - 3:00 pm with one teacher and two instructional assistants.

Elementary Program (K-5)
One to two classes per grade, maximum 32 students per classroom. Mandarin teaching aides provided by Friends of MIP support classroom teachers.
Students learn traditional characters starting in kindergarten, transitioning to simplified characters in 6th grade.
School hours: 7:45 am - 2:05 pm

Middle School Program (6-8)
6th-7th Grade: Mandarin Language Arts and History/Social Studies taught in Mandarin.
8th Grade: Mandarin Language Arts only.
Students use simplified characters exclusively and develop advanced bilingual communication skills. Year-end proficiency testing measures language growth.

High School Program (9-12)
9th Grade: World History in Mandarin and Mandarin Language Arts.
10th-12th Grade: Mandarin Language Arts.
Program graduates have the opportunity to earn their International Baccalaureate diploma.
