CUSD Mandarin Immersion Alumni College Destinations

The Mandarin Immersion Program is built for the long journey, guiding students from early childhood through high school in a continuous TK-12 pathway across Capistrano Unified School District. This page celebrates where that journey leads by recognizing the colleges and universities MIP graduates have joined in recent years.

Celebrating a Growing Legacy

Each graduating class adds to the story of what MIP students can achieve through years of bilingual learning, academic dedication, and community support. We are especially proud to highlight the most recent class while also looking back to recognize previous years, because these milestones deserve to be recorded and celebrated as part of MIP history.

Class of 2026

Our newest graduating class is headed to Columbia, Carnegie Mellon, UCLA, USC, Colorado State, the University of Georgia, Loyola Marymount University, San Diego State University, the University of Illinois, and CU Boulder. We are also proud to recognize a MIP student from this class as Capistrano Valley High School's prestigious and exclusive "Scholar of Scholar" award winner.

Class of 2025

The Class of 2025 continued MIP’s strong tradition with college acceptances to UCLA, the University of British Columbia, UC Berkeley, UC Santa Barbara, UC San Diego, CU Boulder, Cal State Long Beach, and Arizona State.

Class of 2024

As one of the first classes to help establish this record, the Class of 2024 earned acceptances to Cornell, Johns Hopkins, UCLA, USC, NYU, Loyola University Chicago, UC Riverside, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and Cal State Fullerton. A MIP student from this class was also awarded the coveted "Scholar of Scholar" recognition from Capistrano Valley High School.
