Executive Board Elections

Want to get more involved? Join our Executive Board! We elect 10 parent positions each May, with members sworn in at our final meeting in May/June. Co-leads are encouraged for certain roles (VP, Outreach, etc.) to share responsibilities and bring fresh ideas to the program. All MIP parents are eligible and encouraged to run.

How to Apply

Submit your letter of interest to the Parliamentarian (or current President) including your name, position of interest, photo, and a brief statement (200 words max) outlining your qualifications. If multiple candidates apply for the same position, voting occurs via email survey.

Board members serve one-year terms (two consecutive term limit) with monthly meetings and 2-5 volunteer hours per week. You cannot serve on both the Friends of MIP Board and PTA Board simultaneously. All officers attend board meetings, maintain professional communication, and keep accurate records to pass on to successors.
