Why Mandarin immersion?
At Capistrano Unified School District (CUSD), our Mandarin immersion program gives children the opportunity to become bilingual during the years when language learning comes most naturally. Through daily instruction in Mandarin from Bergeson Elementary School, to Newhart Middle School, to Capo Valley High School, TK-12 students build strong academic foundations while developing global awareness, cognitive flexibility, and confidence.
