October 10th Trustee MeetingDear Parents,
As you may have heard, there is a proposal for our program that is currently being vetted by some CUSD Trustees. These Trustees have had informal meetings with some parents in the program to gauge interest in that proposal. One meeting occurred on October 10th and was attended by members of the Language Immersion Subcommittee, Friends of MIP, and MIPAC. Additionally, parents who had been in active communication with the Trustees were represented. This page is intended to supply the rest of the parent community with the information shared by the Trustees at the meeting in the hopes that parents will in turn do their own due diligence to come to their own conclusions on whether or not it’s a viable option for our program. It is not intended to be an endorsement by the Language Immersion Subcommittee, Friends of MIP, or MIPAC. If you have questions about the proposal, fill in the form below and we will share the collection of questions with the trustees and try to get some of them answered for the next Coffeetalk on October 27th. We feel it’s important that all parents be provided with this information as quickly as possible to give ample time for research and debate before the CUSD Board of Trustees votes on the future of the program in November. |
